Jin Shin Jyutsu

Spleen Flow

Jin Shin Jyutsu, described as the Art Of Healing, is a Japanese based hands-on modality, comprising a series of 'flows' designed to improve circulation, organ function and harmonize the body, leading to a more balanced body, mind and soul.  JSJ can be done remotely too.

Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ) studies the flow of energy through the body, connecting:

Body Function

Emotional Wellness

Mental Expression

The Spleen Flow is known to alleviate symptoms of infections, relieves sadness in the body, and supports healthy organ function.  It's thought to bring 'sunshine to the soul.'  It may also help with breast lumps and the reproductive organs.

How To Do A Spleen Flow: (Right Side)

  • Hold the inside of your right ankle with your right hand and place your left hand on your coccyx. Hold for 3-5mins, longer if possible.
  • Keep your left hand on the coccyx and move your right hand to hold the bottom left-side of the left rib cage.  Hold for 3-5mins, longer if possible.
  • Keep your right hand on the base of the left rib cage and move your left hand to the area above the right breast.  Hold for 3-5mins, longer if possible.
  • Keep your right hand on the base of the left rib cage and rest your left hand on the center-left side of the clavicle.  Hold for 3-5mins, longer if possible.

You have completed this cycle.

  • Reverse the sequence for a Spleen Flow (Left Side)
  • It is recommended that you take the time to do a left and right side spleen flow once a day, until you begin to feel happier, lighter and your symptoms have eased.

Quick Tip: When in doubt - just hold your thumbs for 3-5 mins each.  Longer if you have time.  You can safely practise 60mins of JSJ per day.
